In 2013, as part of ongoing efforts to improve the playing experience for all participants in Hockey Féminin, Hockey West Island and Lakeshore Minor Hockey joined forces to create Westlake. The teams consist of players from both organizations playing and practicing within the territories of Hockey West Island and Lakeshore Minor Hockey.
Westlake's primary focus is to promote, develop, and provide opportunities for girls to play hockey in a well-rounded and positive environment.
Westlake includes girls from the ages of 4 to 21 playing hockey at a recreational level. The program includes players from the cities of Baie d’Urfe, Beaconsfield, Dorval, Kirkland, Pointe-Claire, Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue and Senneville. Westlake hockey is part of the Lac St Louis hockey region, which is a member of Hockey Quebec, which in turn is a member of Hockey Canada.
